ed note--We have been asked to 'splain what (we think) this is all about, so here goes--
As should be patently obvious to anyone with even a few functioning brain cells, 'they' don't like Trump, and there shouldn't be any need for detailed 'splanations' about just who 'they' are.
'They' are people with names like Bill Kristol, David Frum, Jennifer Rubin, Max Boot, the Kagan brothers and others of similar pedigree who--as paid agents and operatives for Israel--lit the fuse on the 'clash of civilizations' otherwise known as the 'war on terror' immediately after the terrorist attacks on 9/11 which Israel engineered. 'They' oversaw the destruction of Iraq, the creation and implementation of the 'Arab Spring' and subsequent destruction of Libya and Syria, and upon his announcing his candidacy for POTUS, spoke with one voice in MILITANTLY opposing Donald J Trump. They started the 'Never Trump' movement and not a day has gone by since Trump's foray into politics where 'they' have NOT pulled every lever they possess in stopping him from achieving the 'big enchilada' he promised to bring to the American people--an end to the never-ending wars in the Middle East which Judea, Inc got started and needs to continue if her plans are to be realized.
'They' organized the takeover of Congress in 2018, 'they' made sure to put 'their' people in all the important chairmanships and 'they' are the primary force behind the Impeachment of the President.

And the one thing that needs to be remembered throughout all of this is that 'they' all answer to Benjamin Netanyahu, and if all of this noise which 'they' have been generating since Trump announced his candidacy were truly inimical to Nutty Netty or to his plans, each would have received 'their' cease and desist orders which 'they' would have followed to the 'T' for fear of 'their' very lives.
Now, as it relates to the recent upheaval involving Iran, here is our view--
1. That this is taking place at the very moment when the Impeachment engine is firing on all cylinders and running at full bore is not merely coincidental. Like some scene from a Hollywood script written/produced/directed by a Spielberg or a Weinstein, it was timed to take place PRECISELY NOW in telling the story and creating the narrative which 'they' need in hypnotizing a captive American audience.
In this case, what we believe is as follows--
That something along the lines of what happened in 1983 in Beirut Lebanon was planned, and where a massive attack--engineered by Israel--against US troops in Iraq was in the works. After this horrific attack, it would have been 'revealed' that Trump had 'forewarning' that this was coming and did nothing about it, resulting in a political crisis with his 2 main bases of support--the military and Christian evangelicals.
The enormous political pressure that would have resulted would then transmit itself upwards to the Senate in an election year where 1/3 are fighting to keep their seats. At this point, 'they' would have gone to these various members of the Senate and promised 'their' support if so-and-so Senator is willing to give his/her word that he/she will vote to convict Trump in the upcoming trial.

BUT, President Trump and his people, being after all very shrewd and very calculating in their own right, knew all of this was in the works and circumvented it with the 'assassination' of Soleimani, which, as already discussed, is not by any means a 'given', as we don't really know exactly who was killed in that drone strike, and it is entirely possible that Soleimani was extracted and is now being held by the US as 'ransom' in order to pressure the Iranian leadership into a more 'cooperative' posture vis a vis Trump and his plans for toning things down in the Middle East.
And hence, why Iran made sure that the missiles fired did not kill any American troops.
Remember that the US Military could have shot down those missiles headed their way and yet did not, thus giving the leadership in Iran it's 'victory' in pacifying the rage now being felt on the streets in that nation.
Remember, Trump recently said he was not out for 'regime change' in Iran, and this was part and parcel of that--he gave the Iranian leadership an opportunity to throw a punch and rally the people around them. Imagine the defeat to their credibility if America had shot those missiles down.

Yes, it's so much easier and definitely so much more emotionally gratifying to just default to the usual 'Trump did all of this because he's owned by d'Jooz' business, but as demonstrated on a daily basis, sometimes politics is just a lil' more complicated than that.

There is growing consensus among Trump administration officials that Iran's missiles intentionally missed areas populated by Americans when they targeted two Iraqi bases housing US troops early Wednesday local time, multiple administration officials said.
Iran fired a number of missiles aimed at the bases in retaliation for the American strike that killed Iranian general Qasem Soleimani last week, further escalating tensions between the two countries. Officials have said there were no US casualties as a result of the attacks, though a full assessment is underway.
The administration officials floated the notion that Iran could have directed their missiles to hit areas that are populated by Americans, but intentionally did not.
And they suggested Iran may have chosen to send a message rather than take significant enough action to provoke a substantial US military response, a possible signal the administration was looking for rationale to calm the tensions.
Iranian missiles also landed close to the US consulate in Erbil, but didn't target the consulate itself, though the belief is that they could have.
"We could have done it and we didn't do it," is the message Iranians appeared to be sending, a State Department official said.
This interpretation will be presented to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo during a briefing early Wednesday, and Pompeo is expected to brief President Donald Trump at some point later in the day. The President will address the nation about the incident at 11 a.m. ET, the White House said.
The US gave Iran the "opportunity to do what they needed to do and not escalate by killing Americans," the official said, suggesting how the administration could frame the retaliation. This was "a smart move" by the Iranians who demonstrated that they had "more to lose" if they killed Americans.
Now, the major question is if Iranian proxies follow suit, the official explained. Pompeo is "pragmatic" right now and the general sentiment Tuesday night was "let's take a breath."
There were no additional moves taken overnight to add any more protection to US diplomatic facilities abroad.
Iraq received "an official verbal message" from Iran about the missile attack shortly before midnight on Wednesday, according to a statement from Iraq's Prime Minister Adil Abdul Mahdi. He said Iraq was told that the strike would be "limited to the whereabouts of the US military in Iraq, without giving the exact location."
Trump's decision to kill Soleimani, one of Iran's most powerful men, has touched off a fresh crisis between the US and Iran. Following the strike, Pompeo and other top officials had said US wants to de-escalate the crisis, but Trump on Saturday vowed specific military action against Iran if it "strikes any Americans, or American assets."
